160MC- Assignment 3- What does your world sound like to you?

This next assignment is to be perfomed in a small group, following on from assignment two working in similiar groups as before. The brief involves making an audio piecebetween 1-2  minutes,  similiar to the audio drama but based more significantly on using sounds to identify places and environments that are represented in our characters (JASON) life.

Starting point would be to start to think about sounds you hear everyday and what meaning the sounds have now that you are listerning to them. If you travel on the bus a lot do you ever sit and listern to the sounds you can hear, not very often do we. However I did try this theory out and on my way home from uni while traveling on the bus I listerned to the sounds I could hear. I was surprised to how many people are in conversation either on the phone or with face to face. This was a common sound often heard on public transport, the sound of voices. Next comes the sound of music being played from an music device through headphones, often if the music level is high you can hear the music. It is actually very interesting to how many sounds your ears can hear when you actually listern to the environment around you.

Do you have a favourite sound? Do you ever think about the meaning that is often associated with sounds. For example I often associated footsteps as being an intense and uncertainity moment maybe because film makers often use that convention in films to create a suspense and my mind automaticly makes that link.
